Skeet Ulrich is a rising young star. Although his given name was Bryan Ray, he was called a “skinny little skeeter” by a little league coach, and the nickname “Skeeter” or “Skeet” stuck. Born on January 20, 1969 in Concord, North Carolina, he was a sickly child. A heart defect was discovered, resulting in open-heart surgery when he was 10 years old.
Skeet Ulrich In high school, Skeet was a good athlete, proficient in both soccer and basketball. After he graduated, Skeet studied Marine Biology at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Skeet caught the acting bug after doing some extra work in Films. He then moved to New York, transferred to NYU and began dramatic studies. While in New York, he joined a theater company and eventually landed a role in an ABC After School Special. This led to his first film role in Boys with Winona Ryder.
Following this debut, Skeet kept busy with roles in The Craft, Last Dance and Albino Alligator. His breakthrough role, however, was playing Neve Campbell’s psychotic boyfriend in Scream.
His many other film credits include As Good As It Gets, Touch, A Soldier’s Sweetheart, The Newton Boys, Chill Factor, and Ride With the Devil.
Skeet is married to actress Georgina Cates and they have two children
